Coming up- Technology innovation centre

A technology innovation centre is scheduled to open by the end of April at Infopark, Kochi. An MOU was signed between the  representative of Sharjah Chanber of Commerce and Industry and Siddhartha Bhattacharya Infopark CEO.

“It will be a mutually beneficial arrangement for the Sharjah-based companies as well as IT companies in Kerala”, said Dr Ajay Kumar, principal secretary, Information Technology Department, Kerala.

The agenda behind the centre opening is the huge amount of business from this reciprocal business. There are hundreds of companies in Sharjah which could avail the IT services from Kerala based IT companies, which definitely would be a boost for us.

Sharjah is among the top 7 of emirates of the United Arab Emirates in terms of financial adequacy and industrial spread. The Hamriyah Free Zone Authority, an officially backed facility for setting up industrial units, has attracted over 400 Indian companies  over the past few years.

“Though economic slowdown had affected the emirate, it is fast recovering from the situation and new opportunities are emerging; but it is not possible to mention a specific point of time for total recovery”,said General Rashid Al Leem, Hamriyah Free Zone Authority Director  .

We wish all success to this venture !!!
