Yet another mouth-watering food festival happening at the Casino Hotel at Wellington Island, Kochi is Daawat-e-kabab. It is said that kebab was born over the open-field fires of medieval Turkish soldiers, who used their swords to grill meat. Given the obvious simplicity of spit-roasting meat over a fire.
For Rs. 650/- per person, you can go over and relish the various types of kebabs like lamb, chicken, fish and veggies also. You could also get rice, pulao, desserts to accompany the kebabs.
Murg jaituni, Murg lapetta,Hussaini kebab, mashed nethran banana,Khumb pakiza are some of the specialties of this kebab fest!!!
The festival is till May 2nd.
