Digital and Mobile marketing firm, Flamingos, based out at Kochi Startup Village gets acquired by Kreata Global, Facebook preferred App Developer, UAE. Flamingos, started its venture back in November 2012, pioneered by a group of innovative young talents. The digital media company focuses on Facebook Apps, mobile apps and services, social media and marketing, e-Commerce, etc. The deal is expected to close soon and Flamingos has not yet revealed the package. Flamingos, though attained a new structure, will continue to work independently from India.
The Birth Of Flamingos
As an entrepreneur, Anup Mohan, the CEO of Flamingos, began his journey from 2008 while pursing his engineering degree. Anup’s ever first endeavour originated from his hostel dorm, developing Capzo, a web-based educational campus service connecting Kerala campuses. Capzo created an ink to his career and featured him as a vibrant young entrepreneur around the media. The twist to the story happened, as Deepak Ravindran, the CEO of Innoz Technologies, invited him to join the enterprise.
Anup worked as Manager- Vas at Innoz Technologies for an year and learned business from the very basis on Innoz platform, which gave him thoughts to begin his own mission. He quit the job and launched the Start – up, Flamingos.
The Proud Moments Of Flamingos
Anup Mohan, said, “Most of the big firms had little knowledge about the scope of digital marketing and this is where the idea for Flamingos came.”
On the journey to success, Flamingos managed feathers to its cap, keeping brands including Pulimootil Silks, Jos Alukkas Jewellery, Dream Hotel, Asianet Global happy.
The small bunch at Flamingos proved their collaboration and diverse skills in building “The Golden Moment”, Facebook app for its first client Jos Alukkas. That was indeed a “Proud Moment” for Flamingos! The success story went further when they developed “My Wedding Saree” app for Pulimootil Silks. The clients were happy enough to sign up contracts with Flamingos. The operations expanded and reached out to numerous clients across Kerala, brands including Dream Hotel, Asianet Global, etc. Moreover, Flamingos are creating e-Commerce marketing tools for business to obtain new prospects, increase sales and get more conversions.
The Future Of Flamingos
The major turning point happened as Anup Mohan shook hands with Deepan Parameswaran, the Director of Kreata and took the acquisition offer. Kreata was well impressed with Flamingos and looking to expand its e-Commerce marketing across India.
The young entrepreneur, Anup Mohan is all excited about the partnership and hinted about his future plans, “I am always fascinated by the intersection between web technology & transactional businesses. Stories like redBus, Bookmyshow always inspired me and I want to do something in that direction in the near future.”
