Why Guruvayur-Ernakulam passenger is not ‘passenger friendly’?

I always admire Indian railways. It is the cost effective mode of transport for the common man. I have been using trains for the past 10 years. I can say that train journey is far better compared to others.
I am a regular customer of  Guruvayur-Ernakulam passenger in the morning. Since my working hour starts at 9.30 in the morning, push-pull (we call the Guruvayur-Ernakulam passenger by this name) is the most reliable train. Majority of the passengers in the train are regular employees. But recently we came across some problems. One is the rush in the train. Everyone gets in to the first four compartments of the train and hence they are too crowed. Students are always at the doors, which is unsafe. This problem can be eliminated if Railways would be able to increase the number of compartments.
Another problem, now a days more serious, is regarding the stop in Kalamassery railway station. Actually this train has no stop in  Kalamassery, yet it stops there. When the train stops one person will get off (we believe that he is a railway employee). It is for one single person and much time is wasted there. This is a serious issue from an employee point of view. Either stop should be allowed at  Kalamassery or it should not be stopped there. Railways should provide alternate arrangements for that single person. During caution the situation becomes more serious. As customers of Indian Railway passengers also have some rights.

  1. That is through .This train is not a reliable one a day.It has no stop in Kalamaserry but stopped three to four days ina week

  2. Yes, The stop is not scheduled. Today and yesterday the train didn’t stop there. This is a serious issue and something should be done since it is affecting around 1000 employees office timings.
