I first met Abhishek Nair many months ago at a coffee shop when he was toying with the idea of opening his own food joint. We had a quick discussion about many things food and parted.
Fast forward to a few weeks ago. I found that there was this new place in the National Highway 47 Bypass opposite to the Gold Souk Mall called the Lokah Restaurant & Café with the tagline – World in your plate. Yes, Abhishek had finally realized his dream of opening his own restaurant!!
About Lokah Cafe Restaurant in Cochin
I was amazed by the restaurant because of many things. First, it had ample parking space! Second, It had free wifi making it the only restaurant & Cafe in Kochi to provide it after Somewhere else unfortunately closed shop some time back. And third, the menu was refreshing and new! I am the kind of foodie who is open to new types of food and this menu has led me to challenge myself to taste new cuisines from across the world!
The place consists of four major parts.
Closed conference space can be rented with food for those looking for a small, accessible-for-everyone space to conduct their meetings and conferences. This space can seat about 16 people.
What I personally love about this space is FREE Wifi! Its like a techies’ dream come true to have wireless internet access wherever he goes!

I am a huge fried rice fan which you will obviously notice if you have been to a restaurant with me more than once! I tried the Nasi Goreng which blew me away into a distant world of taste senses! (Imagine the scene in “ratatouille” movie!) I have also tried a few other items and all of them were new, tasty and totally delicious! Totally worth a visit for every foodie, those fed up of cooking, fed up of their wives cooking and the rest of you 🙂

I love the wifi and the snacks in the coffee shop.
i think this is the only wifi enabled coffee shop in Cochin right now..
you should check out the ambience too.. its very cool…
The food is awesome.. and yeah the ambience too. I haven’t checked the wifi but thanks for the info on the availability.
Also the guy who runs the restaurant interacts with the customers and do value their opinions.. I haven’t seen anyone as such in Cochin. Keep it kiddo.

i was surprised when i visited lokah cafe….its not awsom…its beyond awesom…..
I visited Lokah yesternight…we had a great food experience…i was totally carried away by the tastes..a really international experience…Chicken Satay with peanut sauce was terribly awesome…chicken Borscht soup with beetroot was amazing…mexican rice also sizzled my tastebuds… ambiance was really amiable…well behaved staff….nice welcoming….
and will visit again sure!
One more really important thing to say!! Price was really cool…unbelievably reasonable… :))
